My journey creating bronze sculptures started 25 years ago after an accident which damaged my left hand. While recovering I was totally bored and started working with clay. I needed a way to create income as I was not able to return to my trade. Clay had its limitation as to the fine detail I was looking for. Having worked all my life in metal I turned to bronze casting. My first efforts were quite primitive but by observing other sculptures on the web they slowly improved and I was able to sell to some local galleries.
My son David joined me and now runs the Foundry in Woolgoolga NSW. We have complete control over all stages of the bronze foundry process from creating the first sculpture in wax to pouring the molten bronze and finishing.
